Toyota GB and CDK Global, the UK’s leading automotive retail technology firm, have signed a long-term collaborative agreement that is set to change the face of automotive retail for dealers and their customers.
The new partnership will see CDK Global provide its state of the art Autoline Drive SaaS dealer management system to both the Toyota and Lexus UK network. The decision was made to work with CDK Global after Toyota GB researched the market extensively, selecting CDK Global for its scale, adaptability and high level of business integration.
Matt Harrison, President and Managing Director, Toyota (GB) outlines why the company has collaborated with CDK Global, “Toyota and Lexus have been unique among manufacturers in the UK due to having a Toyota developed legacy DMS that supports two thirds of our UK network.
“With our DMS reaching End of Life, we undertook a full strategic review to determine what our retail network required to best face the retail environment of tomorrow, especially given the changing expectations of customers in today’s retail environment. We also need to recognise the changing nature of our network given that more retail partners are multi-franchise operators.
“This new strategic partnership with CDK Global will enable us to have an integrated DMS that supports a seamless customer experience from both a Sales and After Sales perspective.
“Creating happy and loyal customers who are treated in the way that people want to be is the core purpose for Toyota and Lexus, therefore we are confident that Autoline Drive will provide our network with a key enabler to deliver this in the retailer environment of not just today, but more importantly, tomorrow.”

Beginning immediately, Toyota will recommend the CDK Global system to its network of UK Toyota and Lexus dealerships. Discussions will start immediately with the first group of dealers to go live, expanding to other sites throughout 2015.
